2016

Apr.-May 2016: Commissioned to compose a movement for the Scriabin Response Project, based on the composer’s Etudes, op. 8.

Mar. 7-9, 2016: I was a guest composer at Western Illinois University’s New Music Festival. I presented my work and had two works performed: Nothing Written Real (Tana Field, mezzo soprano; Christy D’Ambrosio, piano) and Methods and Interludes (Jeffrey Brown, piano).

Apr. 8, 2016: I presented my music as a guest at Eastern Kentucky University.

2015

Feb. 6, 2015: The College-Conservatory of Music Concert Orchestra premiered Through the Frame. The piece is based on a poem, titled “Family Album,” by Don Bogen, and featured Kate Tombaugh as mezzo-soprano soloist with conductor Annunziata Tomaro. Concert venue: Corbett Auditorium at the University of Cincinnati.

Mar. 14, 2015: Trajectory was performed by Joe Lulloff at the Music for All Festival in Indianapolis, IN.

Mar. 31, 2015: I performed Methods and Interludes at Murray State University.

Oct. 26, 2015: The Kentucky Music Teachers Association commissioned my work Nothing Written Real, for mezzo-soprano and piano. It was premiered by Kate Tombaugh (mezzo-soprano) and Christy D’Ambrosio (piano) at the 2015 KMTA State Conference in Bowling Green, KY.

Dec. 3, 2015: Nothing Written Real is performed by Kate Tombaugh and Christy D’Ambrosio at Murray State University.

2014

Dec. 2014: Eve, Seducing the Apple, a work based on a Kathleen Winter poem by the same name appears in the 10th anniversary edition of the Cincinnati Review.

Jul. 4, 2014: Blue Partition was premiered by Molly Barth and the Fear No Music Quartet as part of the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium, Beall Concert Hall, Eugene, OR.

Jul. 3, 2014: I conducted works by Brian Heim and Nicholas Landrum as part of the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium, Aasen-Hull Hall, Eugene, OR.

Apr. 4, 2014: Composition recital at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, Werner Recital Hall, Cincinnati, OH.

Apr. 2014: Monoliths is selected as the winner of the CCM Orchestra Readings and the finalist for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Marilyn K. Glick Young Composers Competition.

Mar. 28, 2014: I performed Methods and Interludes at the Music Theory and Musicology Society Composers Concert, Master Classroom, Cincinnati, OH.

Mar. 23, 2014: Trajectory was performed at the North American Saxophone Alliance by Vandoren Emerging Artist Sean Xue and students of Roosevelt University, Foellinger Great Hall, Urbana, IL.

Mar. 16, 2014: World premiere of Trajectory by Vandoren Emerging Artist Sean Xue and students of Roosevelt University, Ganz Hall, Chicago, IL.

Jan. 26, 2014: Keep Close to Nature’s Heart is performed by the CCM Chamber Players, Angela Holt conducting, Werner Recital Hall, Cincinnati, OH.

Dec. 16, 2013: Making Sense of the Dream is performed as part of the Computer Music Space Concerts of Electroacoustic Music, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Dec. 5, 2013: Keep Close to Nature’s Heart is performed by Café Momus, William White, conducting, Cohen Studio Theater, Cincinnati, OH.
